This is a genuine Canadian made 1944 dated Browning High Power pistol holster. This example is in very god condition all round with only minor wear and no large stains. It has all its correct feature such as a leather cleaning rod slot, metal magazine holder and canvas front strap. This example is dated 1944 on the inside with a makers mark and the C with a broad arrow mark showing it was made in Canada. This is the very early first patten which is extremely rare and hard to find compared to the later second pattern. Some of the first images captured of these holster and guns being used in the field was in 1944 on Operation Market Garden.
