This is an original WW1 Australian Imperial Forces Handmade Mother of Pearl Sweetheart Brooch .A scarce original circa WW1 period scarce 'Australian Imperial Forces mother of pearl sweetheart brooch' made in the Middle East using a cap badge as a guide. Very good condition, retaining a silver pin fitting not conforming to the usual. This example has a small chip to one corner but has dirt in it suggesting it happened a long time ago. This example has not been cleaned but preserved in its current state for the next owner to decide. A rare example especially being in this condition for an item which is over 100 years old.
