This is an original 1938 dated WW2 Police Brodie Helmet. This example has not been restored or messed with since the war. It comes with its original liner and chin strap. The chin strap has come off one side but this can easily be put back on as it has not ripped off it has just come out of the metal strap. The liner has dried out slightly and crinkled as you can see. This example has the words “POLICE” written on the front but has slowly faded and lost its bright white look. This example would have been issued it a police man during the war and would most likely seen the blitz in its full. This example was found in Kent near Ramsgate and has not been on the market before. This example has a makers make and date on the liner and helmet it is just very hard to see. It has the date 1938 on the metal chip strap clips so the helmet is definitely pre ww2.
