A scarce original Second War period unmarked silver 'MN' lapel badge, made by Royal Mint and officially issued from January 1940 to all Merchant Navy officers and men as a form of identity and to fore fill the role of a National Service badge. Good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting.Height 23mm.
