A good original Second World War period 'Air Raid Precautions warden's whistle', nickel plated example impressed 'A.R.P.' with maker's details below 'J.Hudson & Co Barr St. Hockley Birmingham'. Good condition, with signs of wear from the finish being rubbed away and a repair to the top as shown. This example obviously saw a lot of service in its time. These were issued to most of the ARP members, wardens and many other civil defence members during the Second World War.Length approx 82mm.
