This is an original pair of universal Ammunition pouch (often referred to as the 'Bren' Pouch) used to carry ammunition for the rifle, also grenades and the section weapons such as the 2" Mortar and the Bren gun. The Mk3 was introduced around 1943 and was identical in most respects to the Mk2 but was marginally taller. In 1944 a new version of the MK3 was introduced with a quick release buckle as was used on the 44 Pattern webbing.
These pouches are original WW2 issue and in unissued condition. This is for a pair.
