This is an original Royal Engineers Staybright Cap Badge With Brass Rear Slide By J R Gaunt B’ham. This example is in good condition all round with minor wear. It has no damage to the rear slide and has clear makers marks. It has a brass rear slide which is much stronger than the Staybright clips as they usually break off which these examples don’t.
