This is a vintage Royal Air Force (RAF) sweetheart brooch With Enamel Front And Per-specs Rear. This example has a RAF crest on the front with small bits of enamel with a thick Per-specs backing. It has a small pin fitting at the back with a small safety which stops you from loosing the badge. These were give to, wives, mothers and girlfriends from service personnel.
