The denix replica of the German Walther P38 pistol.
History of the gun: The Walther P38 was a revolutionary 9mm semi-automatic pistol developed by Carl Walther GmbH as the standard sidearm for German military Officers (Wehrmacht) during World War II. Introduced in 1938, it was designed to replace the famous but expensive and dirt-sensitive Luger P08.
Features of the Denix Replica:
Cocking: the top slide can be pulled back, setting the hammer. Pulling the trigger then fires the gun with a clunk. Each trigger pull requires the top slide to be pulled to cock it.
Body: all metal body with plastic grips.
Magazine: features a moulded magazine which can not be removed.
Safety catch and switches: These are cast and do not function.
This example is in good condition with some signs of wear due to it being second hand. It still cocks and dry fires.
