Original 1952 Dated 1949 Pattern Battledress Blouse Size 7 35/36” chest.This pattern of jacket was introduced after the end of the Second World War and stayed in issue until the 1960s. Due to its long service life it is now ubiquitous with the British Army in the Cold War period. Like its WW2 counterpart, the jacket is made from khaki coloured wool serge material. This example has a marksmanship qualification badge on the sleeve as shown in the photos.Inside the jacket the original label is still present and is bright and legible. It bears the title of 'Battledress Blouse, 1949 Pattern 1952 with a size 7. This example is in good solid condition with a few marks from were badges have been removed and some spots of moth damage as shown with a few small holes nothing large which is a common piece of damage.
