This is a genuine Yugoslavian MG42/53 top cover. This example is complete with all its inside parts and springs. It does not come with the mounting pin which attaches it to the main body of the gun. This example was made post ww2 in Yugoslavia on the original MG42 machining tools. This example could have a few original WW2 German MG42 parts but we have not had a chance to full strip this top cover down. This will fit on any MG42/53 that is chambered in 7.92 not the later version which are chambred in 7.62/51mm like the MG3. It does have 1 WW2 German Waffenampt Stamp on the top but we believe this was put on later in its life and is not original.
