Indian SMLE Bayonet No.1 mk II* with scabbard,

This is the Bayonet no.1 mk II* made by Metal Industries of Lahore for the Ishapore made SMLE rifles. The bayonet no.1 was a development of the Indian Pattern 1907 bayonet, which was in turn an Indian made British Pattern 1907 bayonet. This example is in very good condition with most of blued finish to blade with good point and edge. Marked  on the ricasso with the type Mk.II* but no date.  Very good inspection stamped wooden grips, and perfect blue on crossguard and pommel. Scabbard in very good condition, with 99% of bluing to nice tight throat and chape.
