A scarce early example of the British army issued pattern gas mask. The mask with stamped issue details size large with date May 1941, elastic strap centre is dated June 1941 and the canister is dated April 1941. Complete with original gas mask bag again with issue date for 1941. Overall GC bag with some age storage wear. The Gas mask bag is dated 1943 with clear makers mark and date as shown. This example has all its correct straps and pockets as shown with no holes or major stains. The gas mask is complete with both canister and connecting tube. The rubber has not perished and is still in very good condition and it has not started to go hard like many do. Please see photos for condition. We recommedn you do not use this item as a gas mask and just as a dipslay item for your own safety.
