This is a Russian made Kalashnikov AK47 assault rifle. Dated 1970. This example is a Balkans War era bring back covered in names, inscription and symbols added by its various owners during its service life. It has "VITEZ" carved into the stock this could be from The Battle of Vitez (Croatian: Bitka za Vitez) was a battle between the Croatian Defence Council (HVO) and the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ARBiH) that occurred on 20–22 October 1992 during the Bosnian War. The carved front hand guard to help you hold the front hand guard easier. The Yugoslav Wars took place between 1991 to 2001 and involved Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia, Montenegro and Kosovo to name a few. This AK may well have been there! Remarkable it still has its matching cover. The overall wear and tear to the finish would indicate that it has seen plenty of action. This example is in good condition all round with a few matching numbers but not all. It has a welded bolt but can be field stripped but the bolt cannot be removed. This example has its correct magazine. There is one small screw missing in the butt stock as shown.It comes complete with it's correct deactivation certificate.
