Description

A scarce British WW1 P1907 SMLE bayonet by VICKERS, dated January 1918. Vickers only produced 10,000 1907 pattern bayonets. The blade is 427mm(17"), marked at the forte on one side with crown over GR,1907, 9 18, VICKERS, the other side has the WD arrow, bend test and three Enfield inspection marks, working spring catch, Vickers large oil hole in the pommel, it is complete with it's original stiff leather scabbard with two steel mounts, the leather is marked on the back with the WD arrow and Enfield inspection mark, it has a couple of small patches of light pitting on the blade near the tip, otherwise the condition is very good.
